It was built as the Wing On Life Building, the regional headquarters of Wing On Life Assurance, an insurer founded in Hong Kong. Docomomo Singapore dates the building to 1975 and credits the design to James Ferrie and Partners, while some leasing agents give 1980 as the completion year. After AXA took over in the mid-1990s it was known as the AXA Life Building, and it is now usually referred to by its address.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Leasing agents describe it as being in single ownership, with a small floor plate of around 4,200 square feet, a side service core and full-height windows.
