Established to serve young families in Sengkang, it began with 273 pupils in nine classes spanning Primary One to Primary Three. Its official opening followed on 2 October 2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The campus expanded as the school community grew. An indoor sports hall was added in 2011, and an annex for MOE Kindergarten was completed in 2018. The kindergarten welcomed its first intake in 2019.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Environmental education has been a distinctive part of Anchor Green’s development. Partnerships with public agencies and community organisations supported programmes that encouraged pupils to conserve resources and take responsibility for their surroundings. The school received the President’s Award for the Environment in 2017. Its environmental learning programme subsequently became an Applied Learning Programme in 2019.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The arts provide another strand of the school’s educational identity. A Learning for Life Programme introduced in 2016 uses artistic experiences to develop creative expression, cultural awareness and confidence.
