It combines a six-level shopping mall, two office blocks and the lyf Funan Singapore co-living serviced residence, which faces Hill Street. The complex has a gross floor area of about 889,000 sq ft. It was developed by CapitaLand for CapitaLand Mall Trust, now part of CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust, and designed by Woods Bagot. The mall began trading on 28 June 2019 and held its official opening on 27 December 2019.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The present building replaced the older Funan Centre, which opened on the same site in January 1985. That mall became the city's best-known computer and electronics centre and closed on 30 June 2016 for a redevelopment costing about $560 million. Neighbours include the Old Hill Street Police Station, the Central Fire Station, the former Supreme Court and City Hall (now National Gallery Singapore), Peninsula Plaza and The Adelphi.
