It was built for the Japanese insurer Tokio Marine as its regional base and was designed by Singapore practice Chan Sau Yan Associates (CSYA). Shimizu Corporation was the main contractor. The building opened in October 2010, and the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat lists it at about 124.5 m tall with a 2011 completion date.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The tower is best known for its facade. Criss-crossing columns run up the outside of the building like a clump of bamboo stems, forming an external skeleton that leaves the office floors largely free of columns. Shenton Way MRT (Thomson-East Coast Line) is around six minutes away. Afro-Asia i-Mark stands next door at the Robinson Road junction, with Capital Tower, Robinson 77 and the Oxley Tower close by. Amoy Street Food Centre is about three minutes on foot and Lau Pa Sat about eight.
