The road's well-known banana leaf and fish head curry restaurants are a short stroll away. Tekka Centre offers a wet market and hawker food. Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple on Serangoon Road, a national monument since 1978, is within walking distance. Farrer Park Primary School serves the area.
