About Asia Gardens

Asia Gardens was a freehold condominium at 42 Everton Road in District 2, between Spottiswoode Park and the Everton Park housing estate. Completed in 1985, it was a 23-storey development of 80 apartments and 4 penthouses on a site of about 72,060 sq ft. For more than 30 years it was one of the few private high-rise blocks beside the conserved terrace houses of Everton Road and Blair Road.

The development no longer exists. It was sold in a collective sale in April 2018, demolished, and replaced by Sky Everton, a 262-unit freehold condominium that obtained its Temporary Occupation Permit in 2023. Contact details on this page relate to the original building and may change.

  • The collective sale closed on 17 April 2018 at $343 million, above the owners' $338 million asking price. The buyer was a consortium led by Sustained Land, with Ho Lee Group among its partners.

  • Each owner was reported to receive between about $3.48 million and $7.73 million, depending on unit size.

Nearby

Outram Park MRT (East-West, North East and Thomson-East Coast lines) is roughly 8 to 10 minutes on foot. Cantonment MRT on the Circle Line, which opened in July 2026 beneath the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, is a similar distance to the south. The conserved houses of the Blair Plain area, The Pinnacle@Duxton and Singapore General Hospital are all close. Everton Park's ground-floor cafes and bakeries are next door, and Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market and Food Centre is a short walk. Cantonment Primary School is the nearest primary school.
