About Aurea

Aurea is a new 45-storey residential tower at 802 Beach Road in District 7 (Middle Road, Golden Mile). It has 188 apartments on a 99-year lease and is being built beside the conserved former Golden Mile Complex, on the part of the site that used to hold the old building's residential car park. It is marketed by Perennial Holdings and Far East Organization, and the design is by DP Architects.

As of 2026 Aurea is still under construction. OneMap lists it as under construction, and published estimates put completion in 2029. The tower and the restored commercial building next door, now called The Golden Mile, together form the Golden Mile Singapore project. A link bridge is planned between the two.

Interesting facts

  • The whole Golden Mile Complex site was bought in a collective sale in May 2022 for $700 million by a consortium of Perennial Holdings, Sino Land and Far East Organization.

  • The new tower was made possible by planning incentives offered when the old complex was conserved in October 2021. These allowed the buyer to add a tower next to the protected building.

  • DP Architects is the successor to Design Partnership, the firm that designed the original Golden Mile Complex in the early 1970s.

  • The unit mix runs from two-bedroom flats to two penthouses, one a duplex and one a triplex. Sky terraces are planned on levels 17 and 33.

  • A public preview was held in February 2025, with the sales launch in March 2025.

Nearby

Nicoll Highway MRT (Circle Line) is about a 5-minute walk. Lavender MRT (East-West Line) is roughly 10 minutes away. Golden Mile Tower and Golden Mile Food Centre are a short walk along Beach Road. Kampong Glam, with Sultan Mosque and Haji Lane, lies to the west, and the Kallang Basin waterfront and Kallang Riverside Park are across Nicoll Highway. Stamford Primary School on Victoria Lane is one of the nearer primary schools.
