About Realty Centre
Realty Centre was a 12-storey freehold strata office building at 15 Enggor Street in Tanjong Pagar, District 2, with a gross floor area of about 59,355 sq ft on a site of roughly 11,000 sq ft. The building no longer stands: it was sold in a collective sale in 2019 and later demolished.
Collective sale and redevelopment
The owners launched a tender in January 2019 with a reserve price of $165 million, described at the time as the first commercial collective sale of that year. In April 2019 the building was sold to SGX-listed The Place Holdings for $148 million. The cleared site was put back on the market in 2022, and in 2023 Hsteel took a controlling stake in the company that owns it.
The site is now being developed as Ascott Shenton Way Singapore, a 29-storey tower with 42 hotel rooms and 95 serviced apartments, designed by RSP and to be operated by The Ascott Limited. Ground was broken in January 2026 and completion is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2029. Contact details on this page relate to the former building and are kept for reference.
Interesting facts
Despite being freehold land in the Central Business District, the building sold for $17 million below its own reserve price.
Plans for the site changed twice: from a 37-storey residential and commercial tower with 114 apartments, which had provisional planning permission in 2022, to the hotel and serviced-apartment scheme now under construction.
Ascott describes the new tower as a global flagship. It is planned at about 120 metres tall with a four-storey garden podium and a sky terrace.
The site falls within the Anson precinct of URA's CBD Incentive Scheme, which encourages older office buildings to be redeveloped into mixed uses.

Tanjong Pagar MRT (East-West Line) is within five minutes' walk. Guoco Tower, 100 AM mall, Icon Village and International Plaza are three to five minutes away, and Springleaf Tower is two blocks north. Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market & Food Centre is about five to seven minutes on foot, with Amoy Street and Maxwell food centres a little farther. Tanjong Pagar Park sits above the MRT station.
