The Tembusu is a freehold residential development at 107 to 107D Tampines Road. It is managed as MCST 4447, with Ocean IFM as its managing agent.
A former headquarters site
Wing Tai Holdings built The Tembusu on the site of its own former headquarters. Its 2017 annual report describes five 18-storey towers with 337 homes and one commercial unit, records the Temporary Occupation Permit in August 2016, and notes that the project was fully sold by June 2017 (Wing Tai Annual Report 2017).
Design
The architect was ARC Studio Architecture + Urbanism, with landscape design by Tierra Design. The development received Design of the Year in the President's Design Award 2018. The award citation describes a design that draws on the garment factory that once stood on the site and on the idea of woven fabric. Each tower is divided into six-storey sections, with sky links on the 6th and 12th storeys joining all five blocks, planting that climbs slender columns, and streams and ponds fed by rainwater at ground level (President's Design Award 2018). These describe the original design intent.
