About The Wharf Residence

The Wharf Residence is a condominium at 7 to 15 Tong Watt Road, Singapore 238002 to 238026, in District 9 (Orchard, Cairnhill, River Valley). CapitaLand developed it through its subsidiary Leonie Court Pte Ltd. EdgeProp credits RSP Architects Planners and Engineers as architect. Sources give completion as 2012 or 2013. The project has 186 homes. Four towers of 10, 14, 15 and 23 storeys hold the apartments, and a row of 13 conserved houses was restored and sold as part of the same development. Launch material listed 110 two-bedroom units, 54 three-bedroom units, four four-bedroom units and five penthouses alongside the houses. Facilities include a lap pool, spa pool, gym and function room. As of 2026 it is standing and managed by MCST 4015.

Interesting facts

  • The 13 old houses have their own addresses, 7A to 7N Tong Watt Road, which is why OneMap shows 18 separate postal addresses for one condominium.

  • Launch reports from July 2008 described a sky terrace with an outdoor cooking pavilion at the top of the tallest tower, looking over the city skyline.

  • The conserved houses are much larger than the apartments. Property portals put them at roughly 4,500 to 4,700 sq ft each.

  • The site sits next to the River Valley Conservation Area, gazetted by the Urban Redevelopment Authority on 25 October 1991, which covers stretches of Mohamed Sultan Road, Kim Yam Road and Tong Watt Road.

Fort Canning MRT (Downtown Line) is roughly a 10-minute walk. Great World MRT (Thomson-East Coast Line) is about 12 to 15 minutes away. UE Square and Robertson Walk are a few minutes on foot, as are the restaurants of Mohamed Sultan Road and Robertson Quay. Hong San See temple, a national monument, is nearby, and Fort Canning Park is within walking distance. River Valley Primary School is in the neighbourhood.
