Kandis Residence is a 99-year leasehold condominium of 130 homes at Kandis Link, in a landed housing estate in Sembawang.
The land sale
In April 2016, Tuan Sing Holdings announced that its subsidiary Dillenia Land had been awarded a residential site at Jalan Kandis for S$51.07 million, on a 99-year lease. The announcement describes a site of about 75,838 sq ft with a plot ratio of 1.4, in an established private residential estate in the Sembawang Planning Area (SGX announcement, April 2016). The tender drew nine bids (EdgeProp, April 2016).
Design
At its preview in 2017, EdgeProp reported 130 homes in four blocks, one of three storeys and three of seven storeys, designed by ONG&ONG (EdgeProp, August 2017). The architects' project text describes a "homes in the woods" concept, with courtyards and landscaped walkways between the blocks and a lap pool framed by them (ONG&ONG via HomeWorldDesign). These describe the original design intent.
Completion
Tuan Sing reported that Kandis Residence obtained its Temporary Occupation Permit in March 2021, by which time all units had been sold (Tuan Sing, August 2021).
