254 developments lie within 1 km of Dakota MRT station (CC8) — the condominiums along Dunman Road and Dakota Crescent and the small apartment blocks of the Geylang lorongs — each listed with its management office contact.
Old Airport Road and the Geylang lorongs
Dakota station sits on Old Airport Road, named for Kallang Airport, Singapore's first civil airport, whose runway ran here until the airport moved to Paya Lebar in 1955. Dakota Crescent, the Singapore Improvement Trust estate beside the station, took its name from the Douglas Dakota aircraft that flew from it.
The private homes within a ten-minute walk are overwhelmingly small: of the developments listed, well over a hundred and fifty are apartment blocks and about thirty are condominiums. Most of the blocks are on the even-numbered Geylang lorongs north of Guillemard Road, in District 14; the condominiums sit mainly towards Dunman Road and the Katong side, in District 15. The largest near the station are Waterbank at Dakota, Dakota Residences, Cassia View and The Waterina.

Who manages the buildings here
Around seventy of the developments in this ring have no managing agent on record — typical of small lorong blocks, where the management council is the contact. Of the firms, Ocean IFM manages the most. The wider areas are on the District 14 and District 15 pages.
New-launch details as reported by EdgeProp (Grand Dunman); URA (Dunman Road award); EdgeProp (The Continuum); CDL (Tembusu Grand). Distances are straight-line from the station; the walk is longer. Prices are left out because they change.
