Power trips and sockets

• One power socket stopped working but everything else is fine. Why?It may be the appliance, the socket's own switch or a single tripped breaker. Rule those out, then leave the socket to an electrician.

EV, e-bike and e-scooter charging

• Is it safe to charge my e-bike or e-scooter at home?Only with care: battery fires are fast and often start during charging. Never charge overnight or unattended, and never near your door or escape route.
• Can I charge my electric car from a wall socket in the car park?No. EV chargers in Singapore must be type-approved and registered, and using a portable charger with an extension cord, or any adaptor between the plug and the car, is an offence.
